ROYAL PALMS

Is a palm native to South America, from northern Argentina north to eastern Brazil and west to eastern Bolivia. It is very similar to the coconut palm. As a result of the nomenclature confusion, they often retain a previous, incorrect name in popular usage. It is a medium-sized palm, growing to 15 m tall, with pinnate leaves.

FOXTAIL PALMS

Most of the world was unaware of the existence of this 'spectacular' palm until 1978, when an Aboriginal man brought it to botanists and the world's attention.

Foxtail Palm's seeds were so highly sought after that a thriving blackmarket trade formed, with illegal collectors nearly decimating the in situ populations, but ultimately resulting in the palm becoming widely distributed across the world, fruiting in the many tens of thousands, being progressively planted out as one of the "world's most popular" palm

Adonidia

Fast growing palm. Easy from seed. Will not tolerate frost. Widely grown in southern Florida and other warm climates. Easy to grow and trouble free, very tolerant of neglect. Grows well in containers.
